The first company of the group, Pentagon Turbo Engineers (P) Ltd. was founded in the year 1992 by a team of engineers with rich experience in various aspects of steam turbine technology. This team, with limited resources but high ambition, started its operation with focus on after-market support to industrial steam turbine users. The range of service varied from simple service requirement to engineered solutions and from supply of simple parts to critical components.

“Supply the right quality at the right price”, customer friendly approach and prompt response made the company a preferred service provider for small to medium capacity (up-to 20000 KW) steam turbines. During this journey a number of our customers encouraged us to manufacture steam turbines and promised their support.

With this background and support of many prospective users, this team set out to develop its own range of steam turbines from 100 KW to 15000 KW rating. Pentagon Turbines (P) Ltd. was formed in the year 2002 to offer custom made steam turbine / Steam turbine generator packages.

From the first turbine supplied in the year 2003, today a number of these turbines are in operations for varied applications in leading industries, achieving exceptional customer satisfaction. This has helped the company achieve a growth rate of 100 % year on year. With a focus to maintain this accelerated growth, a number of key initiatives are planned. And in line with this objective, with effect from October 2008 the company name Pentagon Turbines (P) Ltd. is being changed to MaxWatt Turbines (P) Ltd.
